Rui Macher Kalia / Spicy Rohu Fish Curry




     




Ingredients :

1.Rohu /  Rui  (  Fish ) - 3 Pieces ( 250 gm )

2. Turmeric  Powder  - 1 table spoon

3.Salt  To taste

4. Oil  As  Required

5. Bay  Leaf -   1 pieces

6. Whole  Cumin  (  jeera ) Seeds - 1/2   Tea  Spoon

7.Whole  slice  Cardamom  ( elachi )  - 1 pieces

8. Tomato  Finely chopped - 1 pieces

9. Tomato  Puree - 2 Table spoon

10. Garam Masala  powder - 1 Tea Spoon

11. Kashmiri Dry Red Chili Powder - 1 Table Spoon

12. Dry  Red  Chili Powder - 1 Tea Spoon

13. Cumin ( jeera ) powder - 1 Tea spoon

14. Coriander  ( Dhania )  Powder -  1 Tea spoon

15. Water  1/2 cup

16. Onion 1 pieces  Finely   chopped

17. Onion   paste - 2 table spoon

18. Garlic ( lassan )  Paste -  1  Table Spoon

19. Ginger ( Adrak )  paste - 1 Tea spoon



Method :

1.Step - 1 , Rohu /Rui  fish  wash  and  cleaned .

2.Step - 2 , Mix 1/2  tea spoon  salt  and  1/2  tea spoon turmeric  powder . Rub  all  over  fish  . Cover and , marinate  for  about  30  minutes  and  keep  a side .


3. Step - 3  , Now  add  oil  into the   pan heat for oil 2 - 3 minutes . When oil completely hot then   add 3 pieces rohu / rui fish , fry  on both  sides  and  fry  the fish till    golden  brown  color . Cover  and  keep  a side .

4. Step - 4 , After 30  minutes  , now  add oil  in a pan , heat for oil  2 - 3 minutes .Temper the oil  now  add  bay  leaf  1 pieces , whole cumin ( jeera ) seeds - 1/ 2  tea spoon , whole  cardamom  ( elachi )  slice  1 pieces , all  spices   fry for  1 minutes .

5. Step - 5 , Now  add , one pieces finely  chopped  onion  and  fry  until  they becomes   golden  brown  color .  Now  add  onion  paste 2 table spoon , garlic ( lassan ) paste 1 table spoon , coriander ( dhania )  powder 1  tea spoon , cumin ( jeera ) powder  1 tea spoon , dry red chili powder 1 tea spoon , kashmiri dry red chili  powder 1 table spoon , salt to taste , tomato  puree  2 table spoon , finely  chopped  tomato  1 pieces , turmeric powder  1/4  tea spoon  or one pinch . Mix it  very well  and  continuous  stirring . Saute  for  all  spices  till  oil  separates  from the  masala . Medium  heats .


6. Step - 6 , Now  add  3 pieces   fry  rohu / rui  fish into the masala   and  add  1/2 cup  water . Mix it   very  well  with  the  whole  mixture .cover  and  close  the  lid . Cooking  for  about  2 - 3 minutes  and  medium  heat .

7. Step - 7 ,  after 3 minutes  , open  the  cover  and  gravy  is  done or gravy is thicken consistency . When  the  fish become coat by the masala   . Now  sprinkle  gram  masala  powder  1  tea spoon . Mix it  very  well . Now fish  is ready and serve .  Switch off the flame . Transfer  to a serving bowl .

8. Serve  hot  with  rice , pulaio  or  fried  rice .
