Tilapia Macher Sorshe Posto Bata / Tilapia Fish Curry With Mustard Sauce

Ingredients :

1.Tilapia   Fish  -  2

2. Salt  to  taste

3. Turmeric  Powder  - 1 Table Spoon

4. Green  Chili paste - 1 Tea Spoon

5. Mustard  Paste - 1 1/2 Tea Spoon

6. Poppy  Seeds  paste - 1 Tea Spoon

7. Whole  Nigella  Seeds / Kalonjeera / Kalonjee - 1/2 Tea Spoon

8. Curd / Yogurt - 1/2  cup ( beaten )  ( optional )

9. Mustard  oil  as  Required





Method :

1. Telapia   fish  wash  and   cleaned .

2. Marinate  with 1/2 tea spoon salt  and  1/2  tea spoon  turmeric  powder . Rub  all  over  fish  . Cover  and   marinate  for  about  30  minutes  and  keep aside .

3. Now  add  oil  in a   wok . Heat  for  oil  2 - 3 minutes . Now  add    fish  one  after  one  . Fry  on  both  sides  till   light  golden  ( about  3  minutes  on  each  side .  cover  and  keep   aside  .

4. Now  add whole ( nigella seeds / kalajeera / kalonjee  seeds ) stir for few seconds .

5.  Now  add  mustard  paste , green chili paste , poppy  seeds paste  , salt  to  taste , curd / yogurt ( beaten )  and  a pinch  of  turmeric  powder      . Mix   well . Saute  for  all spices till oil  separates  on  high  flame . 

6.  Now  add  fried  fish   and   pour  1/2  cup  of  water . Mix    well  with  the  whole  mixture . Cover  and  close  the  lid . Cooking  for  about  5 minutes  on  low flame .

7.  After  5 minutes  open  the  cover  .  Once    gravy  is  thicken  . Now  add  1  table spoon  of  mustard  oil into the  fish curry  and  mix   well . Then  switch  off  the  flame .

8. Serve  with     rice .
