Ingredients :
1.Pabda Fish / Pabo Cat Fish - 300 gm
2. Bay Leaf - 2 pieces
3. Kashmiri Dry Red Chili Powder - 1 Table Spoon
4. Cumin ( jerra ) powder - 1 table spoon
5. Coriander ( dhania ) powder - 1 table spoon
6 . Ginger ( adrak ) paste - 1 tea spoon
7. Salt to taste
8. Turmeric Powder 1 table spoon
9. Tomato 1 finely chopped
10. Coriander ( dhania ) Finely chopped - 1 table spoon
11. Oil as required
12. Water 2 cups
13. Whole Cumin ( jeera ) seeds - 1/2 tea spoon
14. Green Chili slice - 2 pieces
Method:
1. Pabda Fish Or Pabo Cat Fish wash .
2. Marinate the fish with 1/2 tea spoon of salt and 1/2 tea spoon of turmeric powder . Rub all Over fish. Keep Cover and marinate for about 30 minutes and keep aside .
3. Now add oil in a wok heat for oil 2 - 3 minutes . Heat the oil and now add pabda fish or Pabo cat fish , fry on both sides and fry till fish golden brown color . Cover and keep aside .
4. Next add oil in a wok . Heat for oil 2 - 3 minutes. Temper the oil add bay leaf ( tej patta ) 2 pieces and add whole cumin seeds ( jeera ) 1/2 tea spoon and fry till few seconds . Then add finely chopped tomato and saute for 1 - 2 minutes on medium heat . Then add salt to taste , turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon or one pinch , kashmiri dry red chili powder 1 table spoon , slice green chili 2 pieces, cumin ( jeera ) powder 1 table spoon , coriander ( dhania ) powder 1 table spoon , ginger ( adrak ) paste 1 tea spoon and saute until separates oil .
Then add finely chopped coriander leaves ( dhania patta ) 1 table spoon and mix it very well .
5. Now add Fried pabda fish or Pabo cat fish and add 2 cup water . Mix it very well with the whole mixture . Cover and close the lid . Cooking for about 10 - 15 minutes and medium heat .
6. After 15 minutes open the cover , when gravy is done .
7. Serve the fish curry with rice , pulaio or fried rice .
