Palak Paneer






Ingredients :

1. Baby Spinach - 300 gm

2. Paneer / Cottage cheese - 200 gm

3. Green Chili Paste - 1 table spoon

4. Onion 1 medium size finely chopped

5. Cumin Powder - 1/2 tea spoon

6. Coriander Powder - 1/2 tea spoon

7. Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tea spoon

8. Oil as required

9. Salt to taste

10. Tomato 1 medium sized ( finely chopped )

11. Sugar - 1/2 tea spoon ( optional )

12. Garlic Paste - 1 tea spoon

13. Ginger paste - 1 tea spoon

14. Green capsicum - 1 medium size ( finely chopped )



Method :

1. Step - 1 , Baby Spinach wash and cleaned .

2. Step - 2 , Take a pressure cooker . Put baby spinach and add water in a pressure cooker .close cooker bring to full pressure ( first whistles ) on medium heat . Reduce heat and cook 5 - 10 minutes . Remove cooker from heat . Then Allow it to Cool .

3. Step - 3 , Now take a Mixer Grinder .Grind into a boiled spinach , into a  Smooth paste or puree .

4 . Step - 4 , Take a wok . Then add oil . When oil hot  then add paneer or cottage cheese fry for few seconds or minutes . Keep aside .

5. Step - 5 , Now Heat remaining oil in the same wok , add finely chopped onion and add finely chopped green capsicum stir fry for about 5 minutes till color golden brown . Now  add garlic paste 1 tea spoon , ginger paste 1 tea spoon , green chili paste 1 table spoon, cumin powder 1/2 tea spoon , coriander powder 1/2 tea spoon , garam masala powder 1/2 tea spoon , add finely chopped tomato , salt to taste , and sugar 1/2 tea spoon  saute for all spices till oil separates . Now  add spinach puree or paste and add fried paneer or cottage cheese  . Mix it very well . When gravy is thicken . Switch off the flame .

6. Serve with paratha or Roti .
